On May 26, the BYD 2026 Sea Lion 06 DM-i was officially launched, with four models offered. As an annual facelift, the vehicle has undergone noticeable adjustments in range, intelligent driving, chassis, and comfort features.

In terms of exterior, the 2026 Sea Lion 06 DM-i overall continues the design of the 2025 model. The main change is the addition of a new paint color called "Fluid Silver," while other existing colors such as Mist Grey and Moon White remain unchanged. The vehicle dimensions are unchanged, still measuring 4810mm in length, 1920mm in width, and 1675mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm.

In terms of interior, the 2026 Sea Lion 06 DM-i overall continues the current model's wraparound cockpit design style, adding a new "Dusk Blue" theme color, while the existing "Sea Rhythm Grey" style continues to be offered. The new car is equipped with the latest version of the DiLink intelligent cockpit system. The center console area features a 15.6-inch floating rotating large screen and a 10.25-inch embedded full LCD instrument panel. The 310 Flagship Edition also comes with a 26-inch head-up display. The entire lineup adopts an electronic column shifter design, and the steering wheel is a four-spoke multifunction steering wheel integrating various control buttons. The center console area is equipped with a 50W wireless phone fast charging panel and retains a row of commonly used physical buttons.

In terms of driver assistance, the 2026 Sea Lion 06 DM-i is equipped with "God's Eye C" (DiPilot 100). This system includes a multi-sensor fusion solution and provides functions such as ACC adaptive cruise control, AEB automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, 360° panoramic view, and a built-in dashcam. It can also be optionally equipped with "God's Eye B - Driver Assistance LiDAR Edition" (DiPilot 300), featuring a roof-mounted LiDAR. With this option, the vehicle can support functions such as urban navigation assistance, highway and expressway navigation assistance, traffic light recognition and countdown, interactive passing, roundabout driving, and full-scenario detouring and yielding.

In terms of power, the 2026 Sea Lion 06 DM-i is equipped with a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system, with the engine producing a maximum power of 74 kW (101 hp). CLTC pure electric range is 205 km and 310 km respectively. In terms of chassis, the entire lineup comes standard with front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension, and is equipped with the Cloud辇-C intelligent damping body control system. A newly added road preview function can identify road conditions such as manhole covers and speed bumps in advance and actively adjust suspension damping. In addition, it also offers an anti-motion sickness mode and a high-speed tire blowout stability system.

Xiao Tang's view: The 2026 Sea Lion 06 DM-i mainly adds improvements in range and driver assistance. The pure electric range has been increased to 310 km, so for daily commuting it can basically be used as a pure electric vehicle. Urban navigation assistance is available as an option; if not selected, L2-level driver assistance can also cover basic daily needs. Comfort features have also been improved. Seat massage, a hot and cold refrigerator, and Dynaudio speakers are all available on higher trim levels. In addition, there is an anti-motion sickness mode that reduces discomfort during rides through coordinated optimization of the chassis, cabin environment, and power delivery.
