Having looked at cars for a whole year, the "golden window" to make a move is about to arrive!
From November 12 to 15, the 2026 (17th) Chongqing Auto Consumption Festival and the 7th RV Life Festival will be held at the Chongqing International Expo Center. For those planning to buy a car by the end of the year, this is not an ordinary weekend auto show, but a year-end car-buying window where policy benefits, manufacturer sales pushes, dealer discounts, and on-site perks are concentrated and delivered. The event dates are confirmed, and the venue is the Expo Center, where buying a car, viewing RVs, browsing the market, and entering a grand prize draw can all be done in one stop.

Judging from this year's auto market conditions, the price war has run throughout the year, the pace of new model launches has accelerated, and new energy vehicles and fuel vehicles are competing side by side, giving consumers more choices and making them more inclined to wait and see.
Policies such as trade-in, scrappage renewal, and local new-car purchase subsidies have continued to release benefits and have indeed driven some demand, but terminal competition remains fierce, and inventory turnover and profit pressure at stores have not been fundamentally alleviated. Judging from public production and sales data and annual target progress, most manufacturers have not yet completed their full-year sales targets, and the fourth-quarter sales push has become a "year-end exam" that must be completed. This means that the year-end is not only the traditional peak car-buying season, but also a key node when manufacturers offer discounts, dealers push volume, and policy benefits are concentrated and delivered.

Because of the year-end sales push, the biggest manufacturer discounts of the year are almost always concentrated at the end of the year. Returning home before Spring Festival, family travel, and year-end bonuses arriving will generate a batch of real car-buying demand; dealers need to complete their full-year tasks, manufacturers need to sprint toward annual sales, and rebates, assessments, inventory, and cash flow all stack up layer upon layer, so the room for bargaining is often greater than usual.
Combined offers such as cash discounts, booth special prices, increased trade-in incentives, interest-free financing, and free maintenance are more likely to be negotiated at "bottom-fishing prices" at the end of the year. This is especially true this year: as most manufacturers are under pressure on annual target completion rates, the fourth-quarter sales push will only be stronger. At this time, when buying a car, one should not only focus on the sticker price of a single vehicle, but should calculate government subsidies, manufacturer benefits, financial interest subsidies, and trade-in policies clearly on one account. It is precisely for this reason that the Chongqing Auto Consumption Festival from November 12 to 15 has become a stop worth special attention for Chongqing residents buying cars at the end of the year.

This year's exhibition plans an oversized 80,000-square-meter exhibition hall, gathering more than 80 mainstream brands and over 1,000 popular models. At the end of the year, the biggest fear when buying a car is running to stores across the city and comparing prices repeatedly, while this consumption festival concentrates car viewing, car fun, and test drives in one place: for worry-free commuting, pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and extended-range models can be chosen all at once; for family comfort, home SUVs and MPVs can be compared intensively on space, safety, and comfort; for business face, luxury flagships, luxury joint-venture models, and luxury sedans are exhibited together; for those who want to enjoy driving, performance hot hatches and hardcore off-road vehicles will show off on site; for those who want to live amid scenery and see the world, popular RVs, themed RVs, fishing vehicles, and outdoor camping equipment are also gathered and displayed.
From domestic to luxury, from family use to business, from daily commuting to RV travel, consumers no longer need to rush around the whole city and can see enough and compare thoroughly in one stop. The RV Life Festival and outdoor camping scenes also add a weekend leisure quality to the exhibition, allowing young parents to bring their children to browse RVs and look at camping gear, completing the year-end car replacement and family outing on the same day.

What is more crucial is the policy benefits. At the exhibition site, policy benefits, exhibitor rights, financial interest subsidies, and trade-in subsidies are calculated clearly in one stop, with on-site guidance from professionals, and subsidy applications can be completed quickly.
According to event information, for the national scrappage renewal subsidy, when scrapping an old car and buying a new one, purchasing a new energy vehicle is subsidized at 12% of the new car price, up to 20,000 yuan; purchasing a fuel vehicle (displacement not exceeding 2.0L) is subsidized at 10% of the new car price, up to 15,000 yuan. For the national trade-in renewal subsidy, if you have an old car and want to sell it to buy a new one, purchasing a new energy vehicle is subsidized at 8% of the new car price, up to 15,000 yuan; purchasing a fuel vehicle (not exceeding 2.0L) is subsidized at 6% of the new car price, up to 13,000 yuan.
Chongqing's new-car purchase subsidy is aimed at car buyers who do not sell an old car and do not need to scrap one. Buying a car grants tiered subsidies, up to 8,000 yuan per vehicle. Special reminder: the above three government subsidies are choose-one-of-three and cannot be stacked; the subsidy application period runs until December 31, 2026, and subsidy funds are implemented under the principle of "total amount control, first come first served, stop when used up," ending when funds are exhausted or the policy period expires. For citizens planning to buy a car at the end of the year, calculating policies clearly and applying as early as possible is more practical than simply waiting for a "lowest price."

There are additional surprises for buying on site. The organizing committee has launched a car-purchase grand prize draw. Visitors who buy a car on site can participate in a blind box draw, with a 5,000 yuan (tax included) cash grand prize, 1,000 yuan JD card, 500 yuan JD card, 200 yuan JD card, 50 yuan JD card, and other prizes drawn immediately upon purchase, with no one left empty-handed and surprises for everyone. All visitors participating in the car-purchase draw can also receive one extra Chi'an sunroof ice armor or one Juyou Expressway new-car gift package. The participation method is clear: any visitor who buys a car on site at the 2026 Chongqing Auto Consumption Festival can participate with the same-day on-site car purchase contract, same-day payment voucher, and personal ID card.
The draw activity hours are November 12 to 14 from 10:00 to 18:00, and November 15 from 10:00 to 16:00. Buying a car can also add a bit of good luck; for many families, this is both a real benefit and a sense of ceremony for year-end consumption.

The end of the year is exactly the time to buy a car. The policy window, manufacturer sales push, dealer discounts, and on-site benefits have already stacked up in place. What Chongqing consumers need is not to keep waiting and watching, but to walk into the exhibition hall and calculate government subsidies, manufacturer rights, financial plans, and trade-in policies together clearly.
From November 12 to 15, come to the Chongqing International Expo Center to buy a car, view RVs, browse the market, and enter the grand prize draw, choose your favorite good car, enjoy bottom-fishing prices, and unlock a new year-end auto consumption experience in one stop.
