On June 17, the BYD Datang EV was officially launched, offering four models: the 800KM rear-wheel-drive LiDAR Premium Edition, the 950KM rear-wheel-drive LiDAR Flagship Edition, the 850KM all-wheel-drive LiDAR Flagship Edition, and the Datang Prosperous Era Edition (850KM AWD), all equipped as standard with the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology.

In terms of exterior design, the BYD Datang EV features a full-width horizontal daytime running light strip across the front fascia, with vertically arranged headlights on both sides and an illuminated "Tang" character badge in the center; the rear also adopts a full-width taillight design, with the internal light sources arranged in a "Chinese knot" pattern. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with an AGS active grille shutter, intelligent driving blue indicator lights, an electric front trunk, and semi-hidden door handles. The vehicle measures 5,263 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height (1,800 mm for the 800KM RWD version), with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm.

In terms of interior, the BYD Datang EV comes standard with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 17.3-inch central control screen, retaining commonly used physical buttons, with a wireless charging panel located below the center console. The interior features a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, with dual zero-gravity seats in the front row and independent seats in the second row, both offering memory, ventilation, heating, and massage functions; the third-row seats support electric adjustment, heating, and split-folding. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with dual small tables on the front seatbacks, a driver's headrest speaker, a Devialet in-car audio system, heat-insulating glass for the entire vehicle, and four-door muted soft-close doors, among other comfort features. Except for the 800KM RWD version, the other three models are also equipped with a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen, an 11-liter dual-layer in-car refrigerator with heating and cooling functions, and Nappa leather seats.

The BYD Datang EV is equipped with the God's Eye 5.0 advanced driver assistance system, supporting urban and highway navigation assistance as well as full-scenario automatic parking assistance. The 950KM RWD version and the 850KM AWD version come standard with dual-chamber air suspension and are equipped with the DiSus-A body control system; the 800KM RWD version is equipped with the DiSus-C body control system (without air suspension). The entire lineup comes standard with electric rear-wheel steering, achieving a minimum turning radius of 5.2 meters. In addition, the DiSus preview system and the ICCT intelligent comfort control system are also standard across the entire lineup.

In terms of powertrain, the BYD Datang EV offers single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions. The single-motor models produce maximum power of 300 kW and 370 kW respectively, paired with 105.7 kWh and 130.1 kWh battery packs, delivering CLTC range of 800 km and 950 km respectively; the AWD version produces a maximum power of 585 kW, paired with a 130.1 kWh battery pack, with a CLTC range of 850 km.

Xiaotang's View: The four Datang EV models remain consistent in core configurations such as the second-generation Blade Battery, flash charging technology, and the advanced driver assistance system, with the main differences concentrated in range, drive type (RWD or AWD), and some interior materials and comfort features. The differentiation in scenario positioning is quite clear.
