On March 11, SAIC Roewe continued to release exterior official images of its compact sedan, the all-new Roewe i6. The new car has completed filing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is planned to go on sale in April, with an expected price range of 80,000 to 110,000 yuan.

In terms of exterior, the all-new Roewe i6 adopts the family's latest design language. The blackened grille and headlight assembly feature an integrated design, the vertical waterfall-style grille offers a strong premium feel, the star-ring-style continuous light assembly aligns with contemporary trends, and the air intake shape on the front bumper is exaggerated, giving the entire front face highly distinctive styling.

Multiple waistlines along the side of the new car create rich light-and-shadow effects, paired with a dense-spoke wheel design, while the chrome trim at the bottom of the side windows adds a refined touch. At the rear, it is equipped with a continuous taillight assembly, and the upturned ducktail spoiler adds a sporty flavor. The new car's length, width, and height are 4767/1828/1498 mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2755 mm.

In terms of power, the new car's 1.5L all-aluminum engine is self-developed by SAIC, with a maximum power of 95 kW and peak torque of 158 N·m, matched to a CVT transmission, with a combined fuel consumption of 5.95L/100km.

Dada Commentary: The first-generation Roewe i6 was born in 2016 and was hailed as the world's first mass-produced internet family sedan. In 2017, 1.5T and 1.0T three-cylinder versions were added, and in 2019 the PLUS version went on sale, replacing the 1.0T three-cylinder model with a 1.6L naturally aspirated powertrain. The all-new Roewe i6 is a completely redesigned model, positioned as an A+ segment fuel family sedan, focusing on large space, low fuel consumption, and high intelligence, and is expected to become a volume-driving model in the family. The all-new Roewe i6's front face is luxurious and imposing, while the side and rear styling is fashionable and sporty. The 1.5L all-aluminum engine is more fuel-efficient than the older 1.6L engine, and the chassis is tuned by Mira in the UK, balancing comfort and handling.
