On August 14, the FREELANDER Shenxingzhe 8 opened for presale, launching a total of 4 models, with the 800V high-voltage extended-range platform standard across the entire lineup. In addition, the Shenxingzhe 8 First Edition was officially launched, limited to 1,000 units.

The Shenxingzhe 8 is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, with length, width, and height of 5,118mm, 2,050mm, and 1,898mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,040mm. The interior is equipped with a 46.3-inch 8K far-end screen and a 15.6-inch central control screen. The vehicle retains physical buttons and is equipped with 256-color dual-aperture floating ambient lighting, dual 50W front-row wireless charging, and an in-car fragrance system. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 chip, a 896-line lidar, and Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.

The six-seat version adopts a 2+2+2 independent seat layout. The front-row and second-row seats support power adjustment, ventilation, heating, and massage. The driver's seat is equipped with side bolster support, and the second-row seats support 260mm of slide travel. In addition, the second row is also equipped with a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen, a 10L in-car heating/cooling box, small tables, and power sunshades. The third-row seats support split-folding, and are equipped with power seat adjustment, heating, ventilation, and independent side airbags.

The Shenxingzhe 8 comes standard across the entire lineup with closed dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering, with a rear-wheel steering angle of ±10° and a minimum turning radius of 5.15 meters. It is equipped with the i-ATS intelligent all-terrain system, supporting 9 terrain modes, and features a front mechanical differential lock, a rear e-LSD electronic limited-slip differential, and a virtual center lock.

The Shenxingzhe 8 is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender and a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, with a total motor power of 610kW and total torque of 813N·m. It is equipped with a 60.3kWh CATL Xiaoyao extended-range hybrid battery, with a CLTC pure electric range of 310 kilometers. The entire lineup comes standard with an 800V high-voltage platform, supports 6C fast charging, and takes about 12 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%.

Xiao Tang's view: The Shenxingzhe 8 has relatively high off-road hardware specifications: three locks, closed dual-chamber air suspension, 900mm wading depth, and, together with the i-ATS intelligent terrain system, it has the ability to climb slopes of up to 45° and pass through complex road conditions. However, its unibody structure makes its positioning more oriented toward light off-roading and all-terrain scenarios rather than professional extreme rock crawling.
