On August 17, Mercedes-Benz announced the global debut of the new-generation C-Class. The new car has been upgraded in areas including exterior design, the intelligent cockpit, and driving assistance.

The new-generation C-Class features the same illuminated grille as the S-Class, with star-emblem headlights and taillights echoing each other front and rear. When the doors open, the exterior mirrors project a three-pointed star emblem onto the ground. Inside, the cabin continues the C-Class layout, and the all-new multifunction steering wheel uses physical controls such as stalks and rollers. The upgraded Burmester® 3D surround sound system supports Dolby Atmos and is equipped with 15 speakers.

The new-generation C-Class is based on Mercedes-Benz's self-developed MB.OS architecture and supports continuous OTA iteration. The cockpit integrates cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies such as the Doubao AI large model, supporting more natural continuous voice dialogue. Targeting China's traffic environment, Mercedes-Benz has partnered with Momenta to develop an urban and highway navigation assistance system. In the future, it will also be equipped with Momenta's R7 "world model" to achieve seamless driving assistance from parking space to parking space.

The new-generation C-Class adopts the new 2.0-liter M 254 EVO four-cylinder gasoline engine and is equipped with a second-generation intelligent motor system, providing up to 17 kW of additional power and 205 N·m of additional torque; it features a 48-volt electrical system supporting coasting and energy recovery; the all-new electrically assisted turbocharger can rapidly build boost within milliseconds.

Xiao Tang's view:

The focus of the new-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class is not on exterior design, but on intelligence and localization: the MB.OS architecture, the Doubao AI large model, and the navigation assistance jointly developed with Momenta all indicate that Mercedes-Benz is accelerating its adaptation to the needs of the Chinese market.
